Sea cual fuera su intención, la letra ha sido entendida por muchos como una alusión al cannabis, desde ese porro que es “Rainy Day Women”; al “get stoned” entendido como “colocarse”; y hasta las cifras 12 y 35, que multiplicadas resultan 420, el número cannábico. Si no te gusta esta interpretación, puedes quedarte con la opción más simple y más aburrida: los números 12 y 35 solo son las edades que Dylan, según narró, les adivinó a dos mujeres que entraron a su estudio un día de lluvia; y el “get stoned”, para pena del público vociferante, es literalmente traducido por “ser apedreado”.
